Please use this checklist to control whether you have completed these formalilties before your studies have begun.

 

   Status:

• LLP-ERASMUS student
• exchange student from a non-European partner university
• holder of a scholarship
• future PhD student

   Duration of Studies:

• 1 semester
• 2 semester

   Departmental Co-ordinators:

• departmental co-ordinator at your home university
• departmental co-ordinator in Kassel

   Before Travelling to Kassel:

• I have filled in my learning agreement (only for LLP-ERASMUS students).
• I have applied for exchange studies.
• I have signed up for a German language class (optional).
• I have applied for student accommodation.
• I wish to find private sector accommodation.

   After Arriving in Kassel:

• I have been to the Registration Office (Einwohnermeldeamt).
• I have been to the Foreigners Registration Office (Auslandsbehörde).
• I have been to the health insurance office.
• I have opened a bank account.

   Studying:

• I will take part in the orientation week.
• I have paid my service fee.
• I have selected the classes I wish to attend.

   Support:

• I know who my student tutor is.
• I know who my departmental co-ordinator is.
• I know who my contact person in the International Office is.
• I know the Stammtisch.
• I know the Campus Club.
