was founded in 1997 by the University of Kassel.

As a professional university publisher we complete the range of services of our Institutional Repository KOBRA, since many scholars still prefer, for different reasons, a publication in print. By offering parallel publishing (print and online) we try to increase the acceptance of online publishing among scholars.

Our services range from mere online publishing or publishing in print to parallel publishing. We offer you a long-term storage of your data and affordable publications that can be accessed worldwide. Thereby we aim at fulfilling the scholars’ needs and support you in publishing your researches inexpensively. The Print on Demand method enables us to offer prices that are science friendly in production and selling.

 

Which services do we offer?

  • Full publishing service (ISBN, printing support, release of presentation copies, entry in the list of books in print, promotion, worldwide distribution)
  • Authors’ support (help and advice on formatting queries, conversion, etc.)
  • Inexpensive publishing through Print on Demand method
  • All titles will be listed in our publishing program for at least five years after publication
  • The publications will be presented on the Frankfurt Book Fair
  • If desired, creation of web a page with Abstract, including personal data, registration with New Books, amazon and the leading search engines. Dispatch of review copies, specific advertising letters to prospective academic customers and journals, as well as the creation of flyers and a publishing directory

  • Online filing in our publishing server
  • A PDF file that can be viewed free of charge and printed against charge will be provided on our web pages
  • Long-term storage in the German National Library and allocation of a URN in order to guarantee long-term quotation facilities
